| It was with great sadness that the British Transport Police History Group heard the news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
Our thoughts are with HM The King and all members of the Royal Family. Many of our members will have memories of working to ensure the safe passage of the Queen when she used the transport network, especially when she travelled by Royal Train. They were duties performed with great care and much pride. It is likely that every serving and retired BTP officer alive today was attested in the name of our late monarch, and this is a reminder of the length of her reign.
